SNIFF. SIGH. GASP. YAWN. Human Mouth Noises is a collection of the small vocal sounds we make every day without even thinking about them. The quiet inhale before you speak, a tired yawn, a sharp gasp of surprise, a frustrated scoff, or a deep sigh of relief. These subtle details can add a surprising amount of realism and personality to any character.
Featuring both male and female performances, this library includes a wide range of natural mouth and breathing sounds such as yawns, sighs, gasps, groans, whistles, lip movements, inhalations, exhalations, and expressive reactions. Some are understated and realistic, while others are more animated and characterful, making the library useful for everything from grounded dialogue scenes to stylised game characters.
All sounds were recorded in a quiet studio environment using close microphones to capture every nuance and texture. You can hear the most subtle breath, lip movement, and tiny imperfections that make each performance feel human and authentic.
With over 300 carefully edited sound effects, Human Mouth Noises is ideal for games, film, animation, and interactive projects. Whether you're adding life to NPCs, layering character Foley, enhancing dialogue, or building expressive vocal systems, this library gives you a versatile set of genuine human reactions ready to drop straight into your workflow.
Organised with detailed UCS metadata and delivered in pristine 96kHz and 192kHz, Human Mouth Noises is a simple but incredibly useful toolkit for adding natural human detail to your sound design.
